| 摘 要： | 阎真的小说<曾在天涯>成功塑造了高力伟这一新时期留学海外的知识者形象,在百年中国留学生文学史上具有独特的价值.小说的表层叙事是高力伟在中西方文化的撞击中对于本土文化的坚守;深层叙事是高力伟文化身份的焦虑,而身份的焦虑则与他东方式的自我意识有关.高力伟形象从一个特殊的侧面反映了社会转型期中国当代知识分子的精神困境.

| Abstract: | Yan Zhen's novel Once in World's End has a unique value in the century old history of literature which describes Chinese students pursuing studies abroad, for it has successfully created Gao Liwei, an intellectual who studies overseas in the period. The surface narrative of the novel is Gao Liwei's adherence to his native culture which contrasts with that of the western; and the deep narrative is Gao Liwei's anxiety about his cultural identity, which has something to do with his oriental self-consciousness. From a specific aspect the character Gao Liwei reflects what a spiritual plight the contemporary Chinese intellectuals are in while society is being transformed. |
