As a brand-new tourism product which utilizes natural resources and humanistic resources of the countryside and comdines the frist and the third industry,agricultural tourism plays a significant role in promoting agricultural structure adjustment,increase in farmers' income and better-off,and transfer of rural surplus work force.Compared with European and American countries which are developed in tourism,China's agricultural tourism is backward,and now it is facing a problem of upgrading.This paper gives an introduction to the present development situation of agricultural economy in foreign countries in a bid to be of some referential value to domestic agricultural tourism development.
