| 摘 要： | 扩展圈英语变体是英语全球化和本土化的共同产物，被赋予了本土文化输出的重任。但是扩展圈英语一直以来也受到了一些质疑。研究梳理了近20年来国内外学者对扩展圈英语变体的研究，以期用前沿的科学证据来解答对它的质疑，并分析扩展圈英语发展面临的共性问题及其原因，并展望了其未来的发展方向。

| Abstract: | While the demand for and the spread of English have been growing dramatically at the expanding circle, the legitimacy and the ownership of expanding circle English varieties are often questioned. In response to the skepticism this article provides up-to-date evidence of World Englishes and English as a lingua franca research. And the problems faced by expanding circle English varieties and the causes are further analyzed as well as the prospect of future development. |
