基于高光谱遥感的千旱区土壤光谱特征分析

土壤是地球表面一切生物赖以生存和发展的重要资源之一。因此,研究土壤的反射光谱曲线的形态,动态方向及其变化规律不仅在土地资源的遥感调查领域中具有重要的意义,而且在利用高光谱遥感对地表上的多种地物光谱进行分析与特征识别研究中也具有重要的意义。文章中利用实测的土壤反射光谱数据,通过数据平滑方法,微分等方法对土壤光谱数据进行预处理,消除噪声对土壤光谱曲线的各种干扰,分析土壤光谱特性曲线及相关因素如土壤质地、土壤类型以及土壤盐分程度之间的关系。在研究土壤反射光谱曲线的变化规律的基础上,实现光谱特征参数的提取,测定不同质地,不同类型土壤以及不同盐分土壤的反射光谱特性曲线,研究土壤物理性质和化学性质对土壤波谱曲线的影响,获得不同属性土壤的反射光谱特征信息。

Material Abuse of the Elderly:

During the last decade, the area of elder abuse has received increasing attention from researchers, providers, advocates, and policy makers. Although studies on elder abuse indicate that misappropriation of assets is not uncommon, material abuse represents an area that has not been addressed. Using a case study approach, this article analyzes two material abuse situations. Issues raised in the case studies are used to develop criteria for appraising potential material abuse situations and offering guidelines for assessing the appropriateness of guardianship as a means of protecting victims of material abuse.     

Interorganizational Partnerships as a Strategy for Lobbying: Nonprofit Administrators’ Perspectives on Collaborating for Systems-Level Change

Participation in coalitions has been identified as a policy advocacy behavior for nonprofit organizations, although few studies have examined nonprofit leaders’ perceptions of coalition building as a strategy for lobbying. This study conducted focus groups and in-person interviews with nonprofit administrators to explore how interorganizational collaboration is utilized to address their organizations’ policy advocacy goals. The findings indicate that nonprofit administrators view their participation in coalitions as a means of achieving several policy advocacy goals, including increasing their capacity to lobby and protecting them from exposure as lobbyists. Implications for practice and research are provided.     

The supply of physicians' services

This paper presents a model of the supply of physicians' services based upon the assumption that physicians are price-taking utility maximizers. Assuming physicians' services are produced using physicians' labor and purchased inputs, the paper shows that the impact of changes in final product or input prices on the supply of physicians' services depends on the physicians' labor-leisure choice and on the degree of substitutability between physicians' labor and purchased inputs. The empirical results presented indicate that the physicians' labor supply curve is backward-bending, but that the supply curve of physicians' services is positively sloped.     

Maintaining professional integrity: experiences of case workers performing the assessments that determine children’s access to personal assistance

This qualitative study explores Swedish case workers experiences of decision making regarding disabled children's right to obtain assistance in their everyday life whereby they can live independently in the community. Data collection included seven focus-group interviews and 11 complementary individual interviews with case workers from different agencies responsible for decisions regardig access to personal assistance. Grounded theory methodology was used. Compromised professional integrity under shifting conditions emerged as a main concern and maintaing professional integrity was used as an approach to resolve it. The case workers are maintaining professional integrity by applying different strategies; struggling with division of responsibility, bureaucratizig, and justifying and protecting. The results indicate that present application of assessment criteria in combination with the utilization of precedent rulings has made it difficult for the case workers to make decisions that provide children access to assistance. Current practice raises questions about the case workers perspectives of professionalism.     

Human nature and economic policy: lessons for the transition economies

Both economic regulation in market economies and state ownership and control of the means of production in socialist economies have been interpreted as means of protecting people from economic exploitation by the owners of capital. In this paper, I argue against this interpretation, suggesting that both sets of institutions are more plausibly viewed as protecting people from destructive competition amongst themselves.

Social Work and Drug Use Teaching: A Personal View from Lancaster University

This article offers a personal view about teaching the module ‘Social Work and Drug Use’ at a university in the North West of England, UK. It describes the establishment of the module and the development of the module content over the years. It discusses the nature of teaching the subject within a research focused establishment and the problems this presents. This is all contextualized within the campaign to have social work and drug use as a compulsory part of the national social work curriculum.

通过梳理涉残疾人案件的司法裁判文书,可以发现残疾人通过司法诉讼寻求权益保护的整体概貌.面对残疾人包括健康权、生存权、公民权、政治权等权益诉求,涉及自然人、法人等多元侵权主体以及司法过程中支持性服务供给、经济成本耗费、裁判结果与预期等诸多问题,必须增强残疾人权利意识与维权能力,多角度、多渠道保护重点权利和规制侵权主体,构建立体的权利救济体系.
