中国学术期刊是中国现代学术的重要一脉.它产生于19世纪末20世纪初中国现代学术形成的初期.其时,一批知识界的先驱接受了西方进化论思想,为了研究某一问题、传播某一思想的需要,借助于当时已经改进的印刷技术,出版定期或不定期的读物,从而诞生了最初意义上的中国学术期刊.这些刊物大多具有同人园地的性质,办刊者往往组成一个松散的团体,彼此不求志同道合,但求对特定的问题有大体一致的看法;而所谓园地,也是指参与者都能自由发表、自由讨论,虽不免也有激烈的言论,但总体氛围却是自由宽松与平等说理.在这种"同人园地"的气氛下,刊物有自己固定的圈子,刊物的读者大多也就是作者或准作者,学术的交流与讨论以编辑部为轴心自由地展开,而编辑部的体制多数是主笔制.

新旧文学的交锋——关于《蕙的风》的错位论争

中国新诗史上关于汪静之的诗集《蕙的风》的论争是一场偏离旨归的新旧文学的交锋。最初新文学阵营内部对《蕙的风》的诗体、内容、感情基调等方面褒贬不一,随后由新文学倡导者鲁迅、周作人等共同针对所谓的“学衡派”嫡系弟子胡梦华展开论辩,论争内容由白话诗歌审美标准延伸到新旧文学观念、文化取向和道德标准。论争过程中出现了因人废言的状况,胡梦华所提到的诗集缺点早在胡适、朱自清等人的序言中已有提及,但由于胡梦华的学术背景,导致论争偏离了文学,演变成新旧文化之争,展现了20世纪20年代新旧文学争斗白热化态势,也展示了新文学运动初期偏狭敏感的文学倾向。     

Meaningful learning in weighted voting games: an experiment

In April 2013, all of the major academic publishing houses moved thousands of journal titles to an original hybrid model, under which authors of accepted papers can choose between an expensive open access (OA) track and the traditional track available only to subscribers. This paper argues that authors might now use a publication strategy as a quality signaling device. The imperfect information game between authors and readers presents several types of Perfect Bayesian Equilibria, including a separating equilibrium in which only authors of high-quality papers are driven toward the open access track. The publishing house should choose an open-access publication fee that supports the emergence of the highest return equilibrium. Journal structures will evolve over time according to the journals’ accessibility and quality profiles.

《胡征长诗选》以事记史,以情记史,展现了解放战争时期一个战士的豪情,一个诗人的柔情,一个布尔什维克的挚情,鼓舞了一代人蓬勃向上的英雄主义精神,以现实主义的夺目光彩概括了一个时代,并在新时代呼唤着神圣文学的回归。尽管极左政治使这位“胡风分子”蒙冤二十余年,直至今日才将他写入当代文学史,但其人格和作品却因此而更加昭示了文学的神圣。     

Research Misconduct Policies of Social Science Journals and Impact Factor

In this study we gathered data on the misconduct policies of social science journals and combined it with the data from our previous study on journal misconduct policies, which did not include enough social science journals for data analysis. Consistent with our earlier finding, impact factor of the journal was the only variable significantly associated with whether a journal had a formal (written) misconduct policy with an odds-ratio of 1.72 (p < 0.01). We did not find that type of science (physical, biomedical, or social) or publisher had a significant effect on whether a journal had a policy. Another important finding is that less than half of the journals that responded to the survey had a formal misconduct policy.     

Can self-regulation deliver an ethical commercial literature? A critical reading of the “Good Publication Practice” (GPP3) guidelines for industry-financed medical journal articles

Much medical journal literature is developed by the pharmaceutical and device industries, sometimes with assistance from marketing agencies, writers, and academics. This literature is vulnerable to commercial bias. The publications trade issues self-regulatory ethical guidelines for its production, called “Good Publication Practice” (GPP). I evaluated the most recent iteration, GPP3. The most progressive recommendations in GPP3 call for complete publication of all clinical trials, and full data sharing. GPP3 makes numerous further recommendations more directly concerning the publications trade. Many of these repeat existing editorial requirements, chiefly those of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors, but readers are not adequately advised of this. Despite its emphasis on ethical and transparent reporting, the detail of GPP3 enables continued use of academic medical literature for drug marketing, on the basis of commercial steerage of content, coupled with the attribution of published articles to collaborating academic authors. As such, GPP3 provides a de facto manual for how marketing through academic journal content can be conducted in compliance with contemporary editorial standards. Consequently, the self-regulatory GPP3 guidelines are not a sound basis for the production of unbiased industry-financed medical journal literature. I suggest improvements for future iterations of these influential guidelines.

高校学报编辑在办刊过程中,身居信息传播渠道把关人的主体位置。在对选择加工信息的质量标准上应有着更高的追求,使编辑的主体意识、价值取向、专业职能在其工作的全过程中得以实现。高校学报在学术上要永葆先进性,在形式上要给读者以耳目一新的感觉,就必须创新。
