Abdulla Shahid,President of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly,visited China in late November 2021.During his visit,he participated in a virtual meeting with the All-China Women’s Federation(ACWF).The theme of the meeting was“Women’s Roles in Anti-Pandemic Efforts and Post-Pandemic Recovery.”Several outstanding women who participated in the fight against novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)and the post-pandemic recovery were invited to share their stories with Shahid.

Last year,2020,was an"extraordinary"year.Throughout last year,China wrote an"epic"in its fight against COVID-19,during which China secured major achievements in coordinating efforts to control the epidemic while maintaining its economic and social development.As a unique force in promoting the development and progress of society,Chinese women made extraordinary achievements in various industries throughout the past year.

On February 8,the Hubei headquarters for the control and treatment of the novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)issued a notice to urge medical institutions and women's federations,at all levels across Hubei Province,to adopt measures to help pregnant and lying-in women prevent and treat the disease.
