论英汉基本颜色词的象似性

语言符号的象似性研究打破了"语言任意性"原则一统天下的局面,它对了解语言和认知的关系有重要意义。文章运用认知语言学理论,并结合柏林和凯家提出的"语义特征普遍性"理论,探讨英汉基本颜色词的象似规律,从而论证了人类认知的共性是英汉基本颜色词在次序、语义场、范畴等方面有着惊人的象似性的原因。

新疆伊斯兰教建筑装饰艺术的色彩特征是从建筑装饰色彩的整体表现上、使用装饰颜色上、以及装饰色彩的本质上体现出来的。其装饰色彩在观察方法、表现方法、审美观念、装饰风格和使用功能等方面形成了自己的特色。新疆伊斯兰教建筑装饰艺术的色彩作为物化的、精神的反映,在其形象化的过程中,实践着、丰富着伊斯兰教的教义,使装饰色彩的实践变成了生命的意识和精神的寄托,具有伊斯兰教典型的色彩象征性。这种象征性,所表现出来的装饰色彩的生命意识和装饰意味,既符合装饰美的形式法则,又符合色彩艺术的创造本质。

Kids Talking About Race: Tween‐agers in a Post‐Civil Rights Era

Our research examines how American children understand and talk about how race matters in their everyday lives. We draw on interviews with 44 middle school children who attend schools in an integrated county‐wide system and find that while some use color‐blind rhetoric, most children in our study know that race matters, while they offer alternative accounts for why and how. Some explain race as social inequality, while others offer cultural accounts of racial differences. Our analysis suggests that for white children, gender matters; more girls describe racial inequality than boys. For children of color, class seems to be key, with middle‐class children giving cultural explanations, including negative evaluations of others in their own racial group. We use an intersectionality framework to analyze the alternative and complex narratives children give for their own experiences of race and race relations between peers.

从清水江文书看清代贵州苗侗地区货币流通中的几个问题

通过对清水江文书中典型契约文书的梳理,对清代贵州苗族侗族地区货币流通中的银两成色、平砝标准和银钱比价关系等问题进行了初步考证。清代贵州苗侗地区的货币流通经历了从规范到失序,然后又趋于规范的过程。清代中期银两成色与平砝标准的混乱,以及银价的剧烈上涨扰乱了木材市场与土地市场秩序,加剧了苗侗社会矛盾。

Estimating the effects of Head Start on parenting and child maltreatment

We examine the effects of Head Start participation on parenting and child maltreatment in a large and diverse sample of low-income families in large U.S. cities (N = 2807), using rich data from the Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study (FFCWS). To address the issue of selection bias, we employ several analytic approaches, including logistic regressions with a rich set of pretreatment controls as well as propensity score matching models, comparing the effects of Head Start to any other arrangements as well as specific types of other arrangements. We find that compared to children who did not attend Head Start, children who did attend Head Start are less likely to have low access to learning materials and less likely to experience spanking by their parents at age five. Moreover, we find that the effects of Head Start vary depending on the specific types of other child care arrangements to which they are compared, with the most consistently beneficial protective effects seen when Head Start is compared to being home in exclusively parental care.
