节约设计——创造健康室内环境

充分利用空间,节约资源,采用绿色环保无污染材料,创造健康舒适的室内环境,已成为当今室内装潢的主要诉求——评判室内设计质量优劣的一个重要指标。在空间与选择装饰材料两个方面,可以体现家装中"节约"的重要性和必要性。

计算机在学校的教学、日常工作中起着非常重要的作用。计算机机房的管理存在的问题;在机房维护中遇到的问题及解决办法。计算机维护主要是从两方面去做:防计算机病毒和系统维护。     

Estimation of Tuberculosis Risk and Incidence under Upper Room Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation in a Waiting Room in a Hypothetical Scenario

Environmental control measures (ventilation, high-efficiency particulate air filtration, and upper room ultraviolet germicidal irradiation [UVGI]) are recommended to effectively control tuberculosis (TB) transmission from unsuspected TB patients in high-risk settings, but the effectiveness of their use is not often clear. This study presents a simulation model for a hypothetical hospital waiting room, in which the number of susceptible immunocompetent people in the waiting room follows a Poisson distribution (M = 5) in either low (annual number of TB patients = 5) or high TB risk settings (annual number of TB patients = 50), and used the model to evaluate the reduction of TB transmission risk by upper room UVGI. An exponential dose-response model was used for TB transmission and a two-zone model was used for evaluating the effect of upper room UVGI. Upper room UVGI reduced TB risk by 1.6-fold at 3 microW/cm2 UV irradiance in the upper room in the low TB risk setting and by 4.1-fold at 15 microW/cm2 UV irradiance in the upper room in the high TB risk setting. Use of upper room UVGI also reduced the mean annual new infection rate from 2.2 to 1.3 infections per year at 3 microW/cm2 and to 0.6 infections per year at 15 microW/cm2 in our hypothetical high-risk settings. The effect of upper room UVGI was sensitive to both vertical air velocity (air mixing) and UV irradiance level. Results from partitioning variability indicate that most variability of TB transmission risk came from waiting time in our hypothetical hospital.

学习共享空间是校园内一个以学生为中心的协同与交互式学习环境。将学习共享空间的理念引入高校图书馆,在电子阅览室构建学习共享空间,不仅可以使电子阅览室在新的服务理念和模式的指引下焕然一新,而且可以使学习共享空间的理念与服务模式真正与高校图书馆的资源、服务融为一体,与读者多元、共享的学习、交流、研究行为融为一体,在融合中激发和实现创新。     

Bi‐Criteria Scheduling of Surgical Services for an Outpatient Procedure Center

Uncertainty in the duration of surgical procedures can cause long patient wait times, poor utilization of resources, and high overtime costs. We compare several heuristics for scheduling an Outpatient Procedure Center. First, a discrete event simulation model is used to evaluate how 12 different sequencing and patient appointment time‐setting heuristics perform with respect to the competing criteria of expected patient waiting time and expected surgical suite overtime for a single day compared with current practice. Second, a bi‐criteria genetic algorithm (GA) is used to determine if better solutions can be obtained for this single day scheduling problem. Third, we investigate the efficacy of the bi‐criteria GA when surgeries are allowed to be moved to other days. We present numerical experiments based on real data from a large health care provider. Our analysis provides insight into the best scheduling heuristics, and the trade‐off between patient and health care provider‐based criteria. Finally, we summarize several important managerial insights based on our findings.

Homosexuality and the Heartbeat of a Locker Room: An Analysis of Quotations in the Context of Hegemonic and Inclusive Masculinity Theories

ABSTRACT

This qualitative textual analysis examines the attitudes and beliefs of the U.S. sports industry reflected in news stories through quotations (n = 405) employed by writers in the media. The researchers analyzed quotations from U.S. national newspapers regarding Jason Collins (National Basketball Association) and Michael Sam (National Football League), the first openly gay athletes in their sports leagues, and their coming-out announcements. The findings from the quotations suggest that the National Basketball Association is more accepting toward the presence of gay male teammates than adhering to a more inclusive definition of masculinity. The National Football League, however, is more resistant to the presences of gay male teammates, with more attitudes aligned with a traditional hegemonic masculinity. Whereas both organizations openly state their support for equality, there are still obstacles to achieving GLBT equality in professional sports leagues.     

制度重构:从“小产权房”到公租房的跨越

"小产权房"搅乱了房地产市场秩序,并造成利益分配的不公平。不过,"小产权房"的出现有着复杂的经济、社会、法律原因。如果仅仅为了消除违法性而对"小产权房"一拆了之,势必会造成更为严重的利益混乱,甚至有可能影响到社会稳定。考虑到公租房政策实施过程中的种种不足,"小产权房"在保障住房权利方面的社会功能应该得到肯定。在当前的法律背景下,我们可以将"小产权房"改造为公租房,从而建立集体公租房制度。这无论在市场机制的维护方面,还是在各方利益的平衡方面,都应该是现实的最优制度选择。
