This article looks at the way Arab male and female journalists in pan-Arab media negotiate their journalistic ethics with the aim of boosting their professional image while adding credibility to their news. Drawing on several examples of these male and female journalists, I seek to show how women adopt an un-emotional style when reporting news of pain and suffering, while male journalists emotionally engage with this type of news. The analysis draws on extensive interviews with male and female Arab journalists in pan-Arab media which are scattered inside and outside the Arab region. The discussion is informed by the current debate around detachment versus attachment in news reporting as well as the feminist media debate about the distinction between feminine and masculine values in mediating suffering.

This article draws on a one‐year study visit to the University of KwaZulu‐Natal, South Africa, interviews with field supervisors and students in Japan and reviews of the national frameworks of education in Japan and in South Africa. In doing so, the authors identify the similarities and differences in social work education across the two countries and they explore some of the historical and socio‐cultural factors that might account for the differences. There are some identifiable peculiarities in social work education in Japan, especially with the coalescing of care work and social work education. The lack of differentiation between care work and social work makes it difficult to narrow the scope of social work education and practice. National social work standards have been approved in South Africa and regulatory frameworks for social work education and practice have been long accepted, thus rendering ‘social work’ a protected title and a profession that is more entrenched compared with social work in Japan. The codes of ethics in Japan and South Africa are discussed with specific reference to their control functions in South Africa. The article concludes by discussing these comparisons in relation to the Global Standards for Social Work Education.

鲁迅彷徨时期失却启蒙热情,转向探索灵魂的复杂性及矛盾性,从对"诚"的渴求到对"伪"的探寻即为其中之一.鲁迅自从文时代就倡导"诚"的精神,把它视为改造中国国民性的有效途径.鲁迅在彷徨时期却发现"诚"为虚无的存在且缺失同情的道德品质,"伪"呈现出作为伦理存在的道德意义.从对"诚"的需求到对"伪"的探寻,隐喻着鲁迅彷徨时期的思想转向,表明其思想重心已由科学性的"真"转到伦理性的"善"上来,即由尼采式的个人主义转到人道主义上来.     

《格萨尔》伦理思想探微

本文拟从伦理学角度入手,探究史诗《格萨尔》中蕴涵的伦理思想。这些古代部落社会意识形态领域的种种观念、原则的积淀,就形成藏民族传统社会道德的主要内涵。从这种意识形态的探究中,我们还可以窥见古代藏族部落社会从血缘向地缘关系的转化。     

中国少数民族伦理道德的起源和发展规律研究

本文从少数民族伦理道德发展是前进的过程、少数民族伦理道德在批判中继承和发展、少数民族伦理道德进步是螺旋式上升过程、少数民族伦理道德从特殊性到统一性的发展等四个方面,论述了中国少数民族伦理道德的起源和发展规律。作者认为,研究中国少数民族伦理道德的起源和发展规律,对于全面认识和研究中国少数民族传统伦理道德,加强社会主义精神文明建设具有重要的历史和现实意义。     

积极心理学视域下的环境美德伦理探究

环境伦理学自诞生以来,一直以构建客观的自然价值和自然权利为主要任务,忽略了作为道德行为主体的人。面对这种人未到场的环境伦理学现状,学者们开始从美德视角研究环境伦理学。积极心理学是一种研究人类的积极力量和美德的心理学思潮,对伦理学研究产生了重要影响。通过借鉴积极心理学的最新研究成果,环境美德伦理强调发挥环境保护中的积极因素,特别是积极的人格品质,从而鼓励和影响人对环境的友好行为。     

论伦理学视域下当代和谐医患关系的构建

当今,医患关系日趋紧张,矛盾冲突不断,“职业医闹”甚嚣尘上,亟需构建一个和谐的医患关系。中国古代医患伦理思想博大精深。医德方面,提出了“重义轻利”“易地以观”“仁心”待患的高标准道德要求;同时,也强调医患之间的互信。这些传统医患伦理思想,不仅有利于优秀医德的传承,也将有利于当代和谐医患关系的构建。对此,我们有必要加以借鉴变通。以往我国学者的研究重点是医患关系的经济和法律属性,却忽略了它的伦理属性。只有回归到医患关系的伦理属性上,重塑医学人文精神,增进医患互信,才有可能构建和谐的医患关系。     

侗族传统村寨中的灵魂观与信仰礼俗研究——基于广西三江县车寨村的调查

广西三江县梅林乡车寨村是典型的侗族传统村寨,灵魂观是当地侗族人观念世界的核心。复杂的宗教信仰及信仰礼俗蕴藏着侗族人独特的灵魂观。车寨的宗教信仰体系中不仅有草木、山石崇拜等自然崇拜,萨岁、土地公等神灵崇拜,还包含信奉灵魂不灭的祖先崇拜。这些复杂多样的信仰及相关祭祀仪式,镶嵌着当地侗族人的生态伦理观和灵魂观。     

简析我国城市管理执法的行政伦理困境--基于行政自由裁量权的视角

当代中国社会,公众与政府部门之间的矛盾日益激化,冲突屡见不鲜。城市管理执法人员作为政府基层公务人员的代表,在很大的程度上承受着社会对政府行政体制的批判和不满。借助行政自由裁量权的相关理论,从行政伦理学的角度入手,通过对城管执法人员执法过程中行使自由裁量权的动机和价值取向的思考,来发现其行政伦理的困境所在,并从内外控制的双重角度找寻破解困境的有效路径。
