General results of complete convergence and complete moment convergence for weighted sums of some class of random variables

ABSTRACT

In the article, the complete convergence and complete moment convergence for weighted sums of sequences of random variables satisfying a maximal Rosenthal type inequality are studied. As an application, the Marcinkiewicz–Zygmund type strong law of large numbers is obtained. Our partial results generalize and improve the corresponding ones of Shen (2013 Shen, A.T. (2013). A note on the satterthwaite confidence interval for a variance

When using a Satterthwaite chi-squared approximation, it is generally thought that the approximation is satisfactory when it is applied to a positive linear combination of mean squares. In this note, we describe how the Williams - Tukey idea for getting a confidence interval for the among groups variance in a random one-way model can be incorporated into Satterthwaite’s procedure for getting a confidence interval for a variance. This adjusted Satterthwaite procedure insures that his chi-squared approximation is always applied to positive linear combinations of mean squares. A small simulation is included which suggests that the adjustment to the Satterthwaite procedure is effective.

中国大都市发展与治理研究

联合国人口状况报告显示,世界城市化速度不断加快,突出表现为城市居民数量持续增长、特大城市数量增多且规模庞大。回顾中国城市化历程,起步晚发展快,并已进入最快的发展阶段,城市规模也不断扩展,呈现出大城市快速增加、Ⅱ型小城市减少,同时长三角、珠三角、京津冀等大都市圈高速发展的显著特点。以巨型工商城市为中心的城市群已成为国家经济增长的引擎,随之而来的"城市病"(环境污染、人口分布不均、资源紧张、人口老龄化、家庭空巢化、社会治安管理难、交通拥堵、房价飞涨等等)对公共管理和政策研究提出了挑战。从政府管理向社会治理理念的转变,已成为世界大都市研究的新思路。梳理国内外社会治理研究的学术成果,为中国的大都市治理提出政策建议:充分借鉴国际上大都市治理的优秀成果,科学研究、综合治理、改善城市规划,利用大数据挖掘等现代科技手段把大都市治理及其研究推向一个新高度。     

论悲剧痛感和快感--对悲剧审美主体情感活动规律的分析

悲剧审美活动是一个极其复杂的心理过程,其中主体产生的情感形态具有对立性、相似性的特点;诸情感形态的复合体是一个呈现动态混同性的网络结构;悲剧审美主体情感活动在整体上保持动态平衡的发展趋势,痛感群与快感群存在瞬息的高峰逆转.     

论股东优先购买权对股权转让协议效力的影响

股东向股东以外的人转让股权,要经过其他股东的同意,同时要受到股东优先购买权的限制。股东优先购买权在不同阶段具有不同的性质,其对股权转让协议的效力具有实质性的影响并对转让股东、其他股东和股东以外的受让人都具有决定性的意义。股东优先购买权平衡了经济秩序和经济效率以及有限责任公司的人合性和开放性之间的法益关系,在现代商法中具有极为重要的意义。     

Does Market Incompleteness Matter?

This paper argues that incompleteness of intertemporal financial markets has little effect (on welfare, prices, or consumption) in an economy with a single consumption good, provided that traders are long–lived and patient, a riskless bond is traded, shocks are transitory, and there is no aggregate risk. In an economy with aggregate risk, a similar conclusion holds, provided traders share the same CRRA utility function and the right assets are traded. Examples demonstrate that these conclusions need not hold if the wrong assets are traded or if the economy has multiple consumption goods.     

控制权私利下的企业资本配置决策研究

基于企业内部资本配置的理论阐释,以固定资产和长期股权的组合投资为研究对象,构建出有无大股东控制下的企业资本配置模型,理论分析控制权私有收益对企业资本配置决策的影响.研究结果表明:大股东的控制权私利行为是导致企业偏离最优资本配置决策的一个重要原因,偏离程度随现金流权与控制权分离度的增大呈非线性变化.该变化趋势主要由固定资产投资收益率和长期股权投资收益率的大小决定.
