Mainstreaming Nutrition for Better Development Outcomes

Even though the millennium development goals (MDGs) tackle the main economic and social problems in developing countries, nutrition is not addressed adequately despite its important role in achieving the MDGs. It is therefore crucial to mainstream nutrition by strengthening public-private partnerships, increased political and technical capacity and by achieving food security. The paper aims to discuss how strong partnerships bringing public and private efforts together are important to the success of increasing nutritional programs by providing a redesign and marketing of products and services, other services, and funding. The report explores the need to assess the setting of pertinent nutritional policies and to increase technical capacity. The study found that the relation between agriculture and nutrition is a key component for achieving food safety in order to mainstream nutrition into the MDGs. The three main topics considered in this analysis are biotechnology, food trade policies, and bioenergy products as they have a strong impact on prices. 赠地学院与我国高职教育发展策略

赠地学院在美国高等教育史上具有举足轻重的作用，尤其是在培养技术人才方面，为美国实用主义教育方针奠定了坚实的基础。当前，我国技术人才的培养得到了广泛重视，但是在发展水平上与发达国家相比较还有较大差距，表现在管理体制、课程设置、师资队伍、经费保障等等方面，因此，学习赠地学院在技术人才培养中的特点，结合我国高职教育发展的现状，探索高职教育发展的策略是非常有必要的，也是构建我国技术人才培养体系的必然要求。     

先秦诸子文本的经传结构及其文体培育功能

百家争鸣的战国时期,各学派都有自己的经典,并且为经作传之风盛行.<墨子>、<文子>、<管子>、<韩非子>均有以经传结构出现的篇目,在文本形态上各具特征.先泰诸子经传结构的文本形态,对于格言警句体、说体、专论体作品均有培育功能,甚至在连珠体和骈体赋的用典中,也可以见到先秦诸子经传结构文本形态的痕迹.     

海南乡村女幼师的专业发展:困境、缘由与突破

利用本省大学生假期返乡之际,调查了覆盖海南省16个县市的36个乡镇(村寨)幼儿园的163位女教师的专业发展状况。结果发现,海南乡村女幼儿教师存在数量不足、学历偏低、培训不力和社会评价不高等问题。建议构建乡村幼儿教师专业发展的保障体系、通过分级分类模式提高培训质量。     

Cognitive skills and leadership performance: The nine critical skills

Over the years, a growing body of evidence indicates that certain cognitive skills are a critical determinant of leader performance. In the present effort we show that application of these skills is typically founded in case-based knowledge. Subsequently, we identify nine key skills people in leadership positions employ when working with case-based knowledge to address leadership problems: 1) problem definition, 2) cause/goal analysis, 3) constraint analysis, 4) planning, 5) forecasting, 6) creative thinking, 7) idea evaluation, 8) wisdom, and 9) sensemaking/visioning. Individual and situational contingencies shaping effective application of these thinking skills is discussed. In addition, the implications of findings bearing on leader thinking skills for leader assessment and leader development are considered.     

论新时期网络参政与中国民主政治发展

新时期网络参政对中国民主政治发展促进作用将更加明显,是有中国特色民主政治发展的重要内容之一。网络参政的作用已经引起了党和国家领导人的重视,地方党和政府的负责人也逐渐注意到网络参政的实际意义,其作用主要体现在：促进参与式民主的发展;促进传统集权等级制权力结构的转换;促进社会平等;促进政治、政府公开的发展;促进选民与人大代表的沟通;促进公民政治社会化的加强。网络参政还是把双刃剑,应该加强规范和管理。     

“渝江流域”开发构想及其对策

依托沿江沿河资源优势，发展流域经济进而带动整个地区的发展，被众多发达国家的经济发展过程证明是一种行之有效的方式，因此，研究借鉴发达国家流域开发模式对重庆沿江开发具有重要的现实意义。在此，将重庆沿江（长江）两岸称为“渝江流域”，划分为“渝江西带”和“渝江东带”，对加快推进“渝江流域”开发提出了具体思路，并指出工作重点及发展策略。     

试论东洞庭湖区域湿地生态旅游可持续发展策略

东洞庭湖湿地为当地人民的生产、生活和休闲提供多种资源，但由于管理原因、泥沙淤积、水体污染、不合理开发利用，致使湿地面积减少、生物多样性丧失，制约了当地经济发展。要解决上述问题，应从四个方面着手：一、建立健全的法律制度。二、强化公众湿地保护意识。三、资源开发与保护同步进行，实现最佳的经济效益与社会效益。四、建立社区参与制度、生态补充机制和监测系统。     

Selecting a Computer-Based System to Assist Fund-Raising and Development Operations

Abstract

Increasingly, non-profit organizations and agencies must turn to the private sector to raise money to finance their work, and to increase the scope of their services. Computer software is available to assist and enhance organizational development efforts involving direct mail, “events,” and broadcast appeals. Social Work professionals may be responsible for selecting software systems for their agencies. What functions should such software perform? What criteria should it meet? The software should contain features that support each stage of a development cycle, manage mailing lists, provide financial and fund-accounting functions, produce letters and other communications, and generate statistics and reports for management control. Each of these functions is examined in some detail, as considerations to bear in mind when evaluating systems are discussed.     

Coordinating County Based Services for the Frail Elderly

The aging network is fraught with fragmentation. Services to the elderly are administered out of multiple agencies and departments at all levels of government. This article discusses the approach taken by one county to diminish the level of fragmentation to frail elders by a cooperative agreement between key county departments providing services to the aged.
