Estimation of finite population mean in stratified sampling using scrambled responses in the presence of measurement errors

This study focuses on the estimation of population mean of a sensitive variable in stratified random sampling based on randomized response technique (RRT) when the observations are contaminated by measurement errors (ME). A generalized estimator of population mean is proposed by using additively scrambled responses for the sensitive variable. The expressions for the bias and mean square error (MSE) of the proposed estimator are derived. The performance of the proposed estimator is evaluated both theoretically and empirically. Results are also applied to a real data set.

通过对2005年陕西省青少年武术套路比赛的现场观察和分析,发现青少年运动员动作质量规格较低,技术动作不全面,自选套路编排雷同,缺乏创新性,教练员科研意识滞后等问题。这些问题需要在平时的训练中逐步解决,运动员要端正训练态度,教练应提高水平,抓住“双基”训练这一关键,全面训练和强化运动员身体素质,创新编排套路,从而提高武术竞技的整体水平。     

Regression Methods for Combining Multiple Classifiers

As no single classification method outperforms other classification methods under all circumstances, decision-makers may solve a classification problem using several classification methods and examine their performance for classification purposes in the learning set. Based on this performance, better classification methods might be adopted and poor methods might be avoided. However, which single classification method is the best to predict the classification of new observations is still not clear, especially when some methods offer similar classification performance in the learning set. In this article we present various regression and classical methods, which combine several classification methods to predict the classification of new observations. The quality of the combined classifiers is examined on some real data. Nonparametric regression is the best method of combining classifiers.     

基于低碳经济视角的建设公共工程项目的前提条件评价

将低碳经济发展的要求与公共工程项目建设的前提条件相结合,采用修正的QFD技术这一评价模型,提出一个普适性的、可以有效监督评测建设这类项目的前提需求的评价指标体系。研究表明该评价体系为开展公共工程项目建设前提条件评价提供了参考依据,能够较好地体现低碳经济的需求,使基于低碳经济需求下公共工程项目的建设有针对性,更加科学有效。

程章灿《魏晋南北朝赋史》与王琳《六朝辞赋史》是研究魏晋南北朝辞赋史的两部巨著,程著注重辞赋的类型化分析,王著则以作家作品分析见长,二书在叙述视角、叙述方法、行文结构上存在一些差异,但在书写过程中,二书亦有许多相似之处,如广博宏富的学术视角、客观的写史态度等。二书的论述,能够形成互补态势,为我们了解魏晋南北朝时期的赋史全貌奠定基础。     

The Delphi technique: an untapped approach of participatory research

In this article, we describe ways that the Delphi technique can be extended from its more traditional approaches and processes in order to make it a tool for scholars using participatory methods. This innovative proposed approach is called the change-oriented Delphi. We describe this innovative approach using an example from our own work to create solutions to the growth of non-tenure-track faculty in higher education institutions, which is negatively impacting student outcomes.     

New calibration estimator based on two auxiliary variables in stratified sampling

In recent years, calibration estimation has become an important field of research in survey sampling. This paper proposes a new calibration estimator for the population mean in the presence of two auxiliary variables in stratified sampling. The theory of new calibration estimator is given and optimum calibration weights are derived. A simulation study is carried out to performance of the proposed calibration estimator over other existing calibration estimators. The results reveal that the proposed calibration estimators are more efficient than other existing calibration estimators in stratified sampling.     

Conditional Akaike Information Criteria for a Class of Poisson Mixture Models with Random Effects

Focusing on the model selection problems in the family of Poisson mixture models (including the Poisson mixture regression model with random effects and zero‐inflated Poisson regression model with random effects), the current paper derives two conditional Akaike information criteria. The criteria are the unbiased estimators of the conditional Akaike information based on the conditional log‐likelihood and the conditional Akaike information based on the joint log‐likelihood, respectively. The derivation is free from the specific parametric assumptions about the conditional mean of the true data‐generating model and applies to different types of estimation methods. Additionally, the derivation is not based on the asymptotic argument. Simulations show that the proposed criteria have promising estimation accuracy. In addition, it is found that the criterion based on the conditional log‐likelihood demonstrates good model selection performance under different scenarios. Two sets of real data are used to illustrate the proposed method.

A stratified unrelated question randomized response model using Neyman allocation

This paper applies stratified random sampling using Neyman allocation to Mangat et al. (1992 Mangat, N.S., Singh, R., Singh, S. (1992). An improved unrelated question randomized response strategy. Cal. Stat. Assoc. Bull. 42:277–281.[Crossref] , [Google Scholar]) unrelated question randomized response (RR) strategy for both completely truthful reporting and less than completely truthful reporting. It is shown that, for the prior information given, our new model is more efficient in terms of variance (in the case of completely truthful reporting) and mean square error (in terms of less than completely truthful reporting) than Kim and Elam's (2007 Kim, J.M., Elam, M.E.
