Unexpected but authentic use of an ethnically–marked dialect

Recent work on language crossing in the U.S. has examined the temporary appropriation of African American Vernacular English by white youth in an effort to participate in the current popularity and prestige of hip–hop culture, or in order to highlight racial boundaries. While such verbal behavior probably encompasses most white use of AAVE, it is not the only way in which whites (or other non–blacks) can use the variety. This paper presents a case study of the language of a 23 year old white female who makes consistent use of many distinctive linguistic features associated with AAVE. I argue that the interaction of ideologies of race, class, localness and language allow her to be considered an ingroup member despite her biographical race. This suggests that there is a tension between academic linguistic theory and actual speaker practice in assigning authenticity to individuals, and I conclude that language ideologies and other forms of qualitative evidence should be taken into account by sociolinguists looking at the link between language and race.     

构建高职院校交叉互动型教学模式的探讨

"以就业为导向,为就业服务"是职业教育的办学目标,把这个目标落到实处,除了转变教育观念、面向经济发展、加强与企业的联合之外,应该根据专业人才培养目标改革现有教学模式,构建新型的理论教学与实践教学、智力因素与非智力因素培养有机结合的高职院校交叉互动型教学模式。     

An improved two-stage procedure to compare hazard curves

Qiu and Sheng has proposed a powerful and robust two-stage procedure to compare two hazard rate functions. In this paper we improve their method by using the Fisher test to combine the asymptotically independent p-values obtained from the two stages of their procedure. In addition, we extend the procedure to situations with multiple hazard rate functions. Our comprehensive simulation study shows that the proposed method has a good performance in terms of controlling the type I error rate and of detecting power. Three real data applications are considered for illustrating the use of the new method.     

An extended semiparametric model for short-term and long-term hazard ratios

In survival analysis, one way to deal with non-proportional hazards is to model short-term and long-term hazard ratios. The existing model of this nature has no control over how fast the hazard ratio is changing over time. We add a parameter to the existing model to allow the hazard ratio to change over time at different speed. A nonparametric maximum likelihood approach is used to estimate the model parameters. The existing model is a special case of the extended model when the speed parameter is 0, which leads naturally to a way of testing the adequacy of the existing model. Simulation results show that there can be substantial bias in the estimation of the short-term and long-term hazard ratio if the speed parameter is fixed incorrectly at 0 rather than estimated. The extended model is fitted to three real data sets to shed new insights, including the observation that converging hazards does not necessarily imply the odds are proportional.

奥氏带改进INA法的系統稳定性証明

利用Ostrowski带(下称奥氏带)来改善INA法(逆乃氏阵列法)是多变量控制系统设计中一种熟知的方法,但这种方法对系统稳定性的影响在一般的书籍和文献中却未给出证明,本文对这个稳定性问题提出一种证明,其主要结论是用INA法设计的稳定系统,再按奥氏带的位置改变一个反馈系数后,只要改变后的反馈值不侵犯奥氏带,系统的稳定性就不致被破坏,也即系统仍然稳定。     

朱骏声假借说的严重缺陷及其影响--兼论应当承认通假字与同源字的交叉

朱骏声《说文通训定声》中论假借 ,主张“通其所不通则为假借” ,即凡假借其双方在意义上是一概不相通不相关的。此论对造字之假借而言是正确的 ,但对用字之假借———通假来说是不符合历史事实的。朱氏收列用字之假借 (通假 )实例多与其理论相矛盾 ,而现代许多著名专家不但继承了朱氏的理论而且长期延续着朱氏之矛盾 ,造成了严重的混乱。以朱氏为代表的假借 (通假 )理论应当修正 ,承认通假双方其意义并非一概不相通 ,通假字与同源字是有交叉的。     

加强交通运输安全生产管理的对策探讨

安全始终是交通运输生产的主题。本文结合我国交通运输事故与安全管理的特点，以安全工程理论为基础，提出了基于轨迹交叉论的交通运输事故的机理模型，从理论层面推导出防止发生交通事故应从改进管理做起的结论。根据理论分析与实践经验，提出了加强交通安全生产管理工作的部分措施：加强行政管理；加强行业管理；日常管理与集中整治相结合。
