通过老建筑再生对于城市的价值意义的研究以及对城市与老建筑关系的分析，从多个角度阐述由老建筑再生所带来的城市意象、城市肌理、场所精神、城市色彩、城市风貌等要素的变化及其促进城市空间品质的提高，并结合国内外案例对这一观点行论证。     

突出地域特色的植物科学与技术专业教学改革

培养富有创新精神和开拓能力,理论坚实并具有现代植物生产技能,能够献身生态重建和区域农业发展的应用型高级技术人才。以此作为专业教学改革的基础目标,通过教师队伍素质和水平培养提高,着力相关课程改革,坚持理论教学面对区域农业发展实际,跟踪农业技术发展前沿,强化具有就业市场竞争能力的专业技能培养,通过办学条件的改善,使富有地域特色的专业教学改革取得初步而又明显的成效。     

Towards Enhancement of the Economy of a Thermal Power Generating System through Prediction of Plant Efficiency

The plant ‘Heat Rate’ (HR) is a measure of overall efficiency of a thermal power generating system. It depends on a large number of factors, some of which are non-measurable, while data relating to others are seldom available and recorded. However, coal quality (expressed in terms of ‘effective heat value’ (EHV) as kcal/kg) transpires to be one of the important factors that influences HR values and data on EHV are available in any thermal power generating system. In the present work, we propose a prediction interval of the HR values on the basis of only EHV, keeping in mind that coal quality is one of the important (but not the only) factors that have a pronounced effect on the combustion process and hence on HR. The underlying theory borrows the idea of providing simultaneous confidence interval (SCI) to the coefficients of a p-th p(≥1) order autoregressive model (AR(p)). The theory has been substantiated with the help of real life data from a power utility (after suitable base and scale transformation of the data to maintain the confidentiality of the classified document). Scope for formulating strategies to enhance the economy of a thermal power generating system has also been explored.     

Area-based urban regeneration comparing Denmark and Japan

In this paper, we study the characteristics and results of two different approaches to urban regeneration which we have termed ‘Metagovernance’ and ‘Pluricentric coordination’ following. We studied this through a comparative study of area-based, participatory urban regeneration projects in Denmark and Japan, representing each one approach. The paper aims to clarify results of the two approaches in terms of five aspects of urban regeneration, relevant to the process and results: (1) strategic spatial improvement, (2) influence of the legal system and transparency of the processes, (3) empowerment of citizens and diversity of participants, (4) innovative capacity (diversity and creativity of the projects) and (5) continuity and flexibility of the projects. The paper concludes that each approach has strengths and weaknesses and that each country can learn from the other to strengthen future participatory urban regeneration.

Daniel Johnson discusses how the application of “restorative justice” in his own life and in the life of the victim of his criminal offense contributed to his personal regeneration and healing for his victim. Mr. Johnson challenges criminal justice policy-makers to create conditions where “restorative justice” can be employed in the broadest sense in order to do what contemporary, punitive, retributive criminal justice systems are largely incapable of doing, that is, facilitate lasting offender rehabilitation and healing for crime victims and communities, and to offer opportunities for victim-offender reconciliations.

土家族的人类再繁衍神话,具有复合性、神圣性、积淀性等基本特征。神话内涵十分丰富,给神话学研究提供了若干新鲜的资料和内容,还给人们以生态学、环境学方面的启示。     

Plant closures,precariousness and policy responses: Revisiting MG Rover 10 years on

With automotive plants being closed in Australia and western Europe, this article reflects on the employment status of ex-MG Rover (MGR) workers following the closure of the Longbridge plant in 2005. In particular, it draws on Standing's typology of labour market insecurity and uses a mixed-methods approach including an analysis of a longitudinal survey of some 200 ex-MGR workers, and in-depth interviews with ex-workers and policy-makers. While the policy response to the closure saw significant successes in terms of the great majority of workers successfully adjusting into re-employment, and with positive findings in terms of re-training and education, the paper finds significant challenges in terms of security of employment, income, job quality and representation at work years after closure. In particular, the paper posits that the general lack of attention to employment security at the macrolevel effectively undermined elements of a positive policy response over the longer run. This in turn suggests longer-term policy measures are required to address aspects of precariousness at work.     

辣椒常规品种子叶诱导植株再生体系的建立

以辣椒常规品种保加利亚尖椒与赤研6号为材料,探讨了激素、苗龄、有机成分、AgNO3等因素对子叶再生的影响.观察到PD添加剂对常规品种辣椒离体子叶不定芽的诱导分化及伸长有明显的促进作用.保加利亚尖椒的子叶分化频率达到100%,赤研6号的分化频率达到83%.芽伸长率分别为75%与55%,生根率达到80%以上.建立了辣椒常规品种的子叶离体高效再生体系.
