加快科技奥运建设,促进首都实现跨越式发展

科技奥运是中国申奥成功的重要理念 ,也将成为北京举办奥运会的重要保障条件。加快科技奥运建设对于实现奥运承诺 ,促进首都乃至全国经济、科技的发展都具有深远的意义。“以科技助奥运 ,以奥运促科技”是科技奥运建设的重要内容。本文从科技奥运提出的背景、含义、建设目标、主要任务、实施一年多来取得的进展等方面进行了比较全面的描述。     

The Use of Cervical Caps at the University of California/Berkeley

Abstract

The higher rates of disease and death associated with male gender have been widely documented, yet little is being done in the college health setting to address men's health issues. Many of men's health risks are related to social isolation and prohibitions on showing weakness. The authors describe the Virginia Tech University experience with 3 Man Alive groups that were developed to (a) create a supportive social structure for male college students who may otherwise be socially isolated, (b) model healthy expression of emotions, such as anger, fear, sadness, and joy; (c) create a safe space for men to discuss sensitive issues, such as relationships with significant others, sexuality, and substance abuse.     

An expert system for a semiconductor manufacturing environment

We developed an expert system to analyse and suggest solutions to problems commonly encountered in the production of integrated circuits. We wrote a PC-based program to implement the expert system. Our goal is to enable interested readers to relate some of the accomplishments realized by a high tech manufacturing company to their own production, manufacturing or maintenance environment. We discuss the difficulties encountered when implementing an expert system as well as the great benefits derived from its use.

农业科技人才是防范农业风险的关键

21世纪,我国农业已进入了一个新的全面发展的经济转型时期。在这个时期,农业将面临着许多风险。而防范和化解农业风险靠的是掌握了农业科技的人才,农业科技人才是防范和化解农业风险的主体和关键,因此,必须重视农业科技人才在防范和化解农业风险中的作用,并采取得力措施,努力建设高素质的农业科技人才队伍。     

民营科技企业的法律环境

在界定民营科技企业涵义的基础上,考察了我国民营科技企业的发展历程和立法现状,指出我国民营 科技企业法治环境存在的问题,同时提出了完善我国民营科技企业法治环境建设的立法建议。     

“三农”问题研究回顾与展望——以《西北农林科技大学学报（社会科学版）》“‘三农’问题研究“栏目为例

在总结《西北农林科技大学学报 (社会科学版 )》2 0 0 1～ 2 0 0 2年“三农问题研究”栏目发表论文情况的基础上 ,探讨了“三农”问题各研究领域目前存在的问题 ,对今后的发展提出了一些看法 :如“三农”问题的的落脚点仍然是农民问题、农业国际化问题 ,农业问题的根本出路在于“工业化”问题 ,“三农”问题的政策和宏观调控研究及加强调查分析和采用新方法研究等 ,为“三农”问题研究栏目办出特色提供必要的信息。

20世纪50年代肇始于美国斯坦福大学的“硅谷”模式,在引发世界性科技园区建设热潮的同时,也引发了一个新课题,即一流大学与科技园区的相关性。文章探讨了科技园区的兴起与一流大学的相关性,以及科技园区的发展与一流大学的相关性问题。     

Emergence of diverse and specialized knowledge in a metropolitan tech cluster

Specialized knowledge is increasingly central in modern information- and technology-oriented economies, yet we know surprisingly little about how this knowledge is organized. We trace the evolution of specialized knowledge at both the individual- and network-levels by analyzing email exchanges shared among members of a large tech professional community in New York City over seven years. We find a shift over time toward the emergence of an increasingly specialized ecology of knowledge and information. This division of knowledge is driven by the influx of new cohorts of participants with different knowledge and interests than those already there. Yet, even as individual contributors increasingly sort into specialized niches, the community as a whole remains robust in its ability to address topics of diverse concern. This study illustrates how new sources of data enable us to see with greater clarity the structures underpinning modern knowledge-based innovation clusters.
