On the Flood of Technical Rationality and Regulation in Risk Era---Rethink on“Golden Rice Incident Event”

By analyzing causes and course of “Golden Rice event”,we point out the event is not just a new anomie case in scientific research and its roots should be the expansion of technical rationality to -wards one direction .It also reflects the differences and fracture between technical rationality and social rationality.In the risk society , the approach of restraining technical rationality should be based on the perspective of society instead of being confined to purely speculation of concept .We should improve risk awareness , public dialogue , and the rule of ethics and law to bring the role of technology to a reasonable position .
