| Abstract: | In England the Transitional Period is the change period from the feudal society to capitalist society. In this period the size of migration from rural area to urban area was very large. The major causes were as follow: the rapid increase in rural population brought about a large pressure to the resources of the cultivated land; the social and economic changes in rural areas released a large number of surplus labor forces; the pull was given by the economic development of urban areas;and the influences resulted from the change of social system. |
