商务英语文体的词块体系与功能等值翻译

随着商务英语交流的增多,商务英语文体词块的汉译问题日益凸显。文章针对翻译过程中存在的词块误译现象,从韩礼德的三大元功能理论和费南多的英语习语分类视角,界定了商务英语文体的词块体系,即表意词块、人际交流词块和联接词块,并在指称等值、内涵等值、语用等值、联接等值四个层面探讨了商务英语词块的功能等值翻译规律。

Word-chunk System of Business English Styles and Their Functional Equivalence Translation

With the increasing business English communication,translation of business English word-chunks becomes more challenging.Based on mistranslations of business English word-chunks,this article defines word-chunk systems of business English style,i.e.,ideational,interpersonal and relational word chunks,from the perspective of Halliday’s three metafunctions and Fernando’s categorization of English idioms.Then the article discusses functional equivalence translations of business English word chunks on the levels of referential, connotative, pragmatic and relational equivalences.
