| Abstract: | In this essay, the author points out that the Industrial Civilization in currentlydeclining, and that a new kind of civilization-the Ecological Civilization will takeits place and lead human society to develop further. The basic characteristics, thephilosophical and scientific basis, energy sources,production and consumption model, and social systems under the Ecological Civilization are being conceived, and the for-mation of the general structure of the new civilization is currently under way. Theauthor also suggests and discusses a proper way to ensure a healthy development ofthe Ecological Civilization. |
