| 摘 要： | 霍桑的《红字》是一部探讨人性与宗教、道德习俗关系的作品,它讴歌了个性解放之于宗教的狭隘意识及道德习俗偏见的胜利,呼唤顺应人性正向追求的健康的宗教与道德体系的建立;同时,它也是一部反映妇女不幸的哀歌和女性追求解放的颂歌。这一切主要由海丝特·普瑞思反抗的人生体现出来。
