多维视角探讨高等教育大众化背景下的精英教育

文章从国外经验、高等教育整体结构、人才培养等三个角度,对高等教育大众化背景下的精英教育问题进行了探讨,指出大众教育与精英教育并举是高等教育进入大众化阶段的必然选择;在大众化阶段,研究型大学应始终坚持精英教育的理念;精英教育的基本特征是追求卓越;精英人才培养着重要抓好五个环节:(1)在生源的选拔中注重全面素质的考核;(2)培养方案设计中应强调基础宽厚、多学科交叉;(3)增加国内外访学的经历,以拓展培养途径;(4)倡导研究型教学;(5)实施导师制。

Multidimensional Vision on Elite Education Built upon the Background of Popularization of Higher Education

Built upon the background of popularization of higher education,this paper is concerned mainly with three aspects of elite education: experiences in foreign countries,the structure of higher education and talents cultivation.The trend of higher education is that popularized education and elite education develop simultaneously.In the process of popularization of higher education,research-oriented universities should adhere to the concept of elitism.To foster talents through elite education,the following five areas should be emphasized:(1)Focusing on the evaluation of all around quality in the recruitment and selection of university students;(2)Stressing good foundation and interdisciplinary study in the cultivation plan for the students;(3)Developing some new modes to foster the talent by visiting and learning at home and abroad;(4)Advocating research teaching;(5)Implementing tutorial system.
