野间宏论

On the writer Nomahiroshi

Nomahiroshi is a famous Japanese modern writer,and an acknowledged standard bearer of Postwar School.Being an influential and progressive writer,ever since his college life,he began his belief in Marxism and cared for people.His "Scar literature" played an extremely historical role in evoking/awakening the reflection of Japanese nation.At the same time,his novels of stream of consciousness has developed a school of his own in literature techniques and broken the old Japanese literature tradition.He is also an advocator of the Earth and the human destiny:in his later years,he disregarded his old age and weak health,he went around to protect the human environment with his thoughtful literature and his own action.This paper generally introduces Nomahiroshi and his writings,and suggests that he deserves higher evaluation and holds better position in modern Japanese literature history.
