On Integrating Topic-based Oral English Teaching from the Perspective of Self-Access Learning

This paper discusses the relationship between self-access learning and oral English teaching．It proposes that elf-access learning should be integrated with topic-based oral English teaching．It holds that oral English teaching is a dynamic interaction among students，teachers，tasks and resources．Dynamic interaction is essential in achieving the teaching result，so the teacher should motivate the students' learning desire．By designing three stages of application，namely，pre-class preparation，operating the course and post-class monitoring mechanism，the author want to，against the background of the reform of College English teaching，establish the self-accessible learning mechanism suited to promote the oral ability of college students，enhance their overall speaking performance，promote their autonomous monitoring of speaking and set up positive attitudes towards involvement in speaking English actively，automatically，initiatively and creatively．
