| Abstract: | An analysis of the theory of overseas direct investment reveals the important role of the monopoly edge on the formation and development of trans-national corporations. Enterprises with a monopoly edge are strongly inclined to seek investment market overseas and trans-national corporations are the outcome of the channeling of monopoly capital to overseas countries. The direct motivation and fundamental characteristics of overseas direct investment is to control and monopolize the market in the host country. |
