中华文明的连续性特征及生态伦理功用

弘扬中华民族精神 ,必须追溯中华文明的源头活水。以下诸篇文章 ,以文化基因为核心概念 ,从不同视角分析了中华文明的起源特点和世界历史地位 ,并前瞻中华文明在新世纪如何实现现代传承和发展。王东从总体上概括了中华文明万年起源发展史上的五次辉煌 ,并提炼出了中华文明的五大文化基因 ;胡孚琛认为中华文明绵延不绝的奥秘在于传统的道家文化 ,道家文化在新世纪要发扬光大 ,须走综合创新之道 ;刘军则认为中华文明最大的特征是连续性特征 ,这种特征主要体现在儒家的生态伦理智慧中 ;魏小巍将汉字作为中华文明的文化基因 ,并从符号学、信息学角度对汉字做了现代解读和阐释 ;李宏伟从评论张光直对中华文明起源研究的得失这一角度出发 ,提出了续写马克思文明起源论“中国续篇”的任务。

On the Chinese Civilization's Cultural Genes and its Modern Transmission(Seminar)

To develop the spirit of the civilization of China, we must trace back to its source. Guided by the key concept of cultural genes, the following articles will attempt to analyze from different points of view the characteristics of the origin of the Chinese civilization, as well as its position in the world history. Professor Wang Dong has given a general presentation of the five splendid periods during the 10,000 years of development of the Chinese civilization, and sums up five genes of the civilization of China. Professor Hu Fu-chen holds the view that the secret of the uninterrupted civilization of China lies in the traditional Taoist culture. For the Taoist tradition to continue and develop in the modern world, it has to be integrated and recreated. Liu Jun proposes that the greatest characteristic of the Chinese civilization is its continuity and it is mainly embodied in the wisdom of the ecological ethic of Confucianism. Wei Xiao-wei takes Chinese written characters as the cultural gene of the Chines civilization. She will give a modern reinterpretation and explanation of the Chinese written characters from the perspectives of semeiology and information theory.Li Hong-wei explains the achievement and unsatisfactory aspects of Kwang-chih Chang's theories on the origin of the Chinese civilization. She suggests that there needs to be a continuance to the Marxist theory on the origin of civilizations that applies particularly to China.
