Methodology Interpretation of Narrative as Hetoric Written by James Phelan

James Phelan, one of the most famous American narration scholars, regards ＂narrative＂ as ＂hetoric＂ among the author, text and reader in his works. In his opinion, the ＂hetoric＂ means a kind of ideologic exchange among the author, text and reader, and in fact the narrative is a discourse dynamics system which focuses on the text and possesses the distinct ＂Mediation＂ characteristic. This viewpoint maybe brings out the abundant enlightenment significance for relevant domestic studies.
