上古汉语双音节词单音节化现象初探

从现存文献来看，上古汉语似乎是以单音节为主的。但是周秦时期的一些诗歌，例如《诗经》、《楚辞》，却记录了大量的双音节单纯词(即传统所谓“连绵字”)。从文献观察，这些双音节词在当时，尤其是在后来的汉代，又以意义相同、语音相近的单音节词出现。本文分析了见于《离骚》中的这种双音节词现象，认为双音节词的单音节化是上古汉语历史演变过程中的一个重要事实。

The Change from Disyllables to Monosyllables in Old Chinese as Reflected in Li Shao

The ancient documents available indicate that the words of old Chinese seem to be mainly labic, but some poems whiten in Zhou Qin period, for example, these in Shi Jing and Chu Ci, record a large number of mono-morphemic disyllables, which are called lian mian n by Chinese scholars. The author discovers that these disyllables appear again in the form of monedebles with the same meaning and similar pronunciation in other documents at that the, especially later in the Han Dynasty. The author lists and analyzes the disyllables from Li Shao (bout 300BC), and holds that the change for disyllables to monosyllables is an im portant fact in the evolution of old Chinese.
