“标首”“标首钱”辨正

“标首”是中古汉语产生的新词，有“首位．第一”义，可以修饰人．也可以修饰事物。“标首钱”义为“第一份钱”．也可以指“数额最大的钱”。“标首”在古代文献中有时讹变为“标手”揉首”或“揉手”。目前大多数辞书、专著以及注解对“标首”一词的解释都存在一些问题。

Explanation of Biaoshou (标首) and Biaoshouqian(标首钱) in Ancient Chinese

Biaoshou （标首） was a new word produced in Middle Ancient Chinese. It had the meaning of ＂the first＂ or ＂the first place＂ can modify both people and objects. Biaoshouqian （标首钱） means ＂the first money＂, either ＂the money provided first＂, or ＂the largest amount of money＂. Sometimes biaoshou was written as 标手;摽首 or 摽手 in ancient literature. There are problems in the explanation of biaoshou in most dictionaries, monographs, as well as book annotations at present.
