比喻的核心在喻体，喻体的优劣是比喻成败的关键。喻体为“直观的感觉”，具有形象性；喻体可以广泛选择，具有多样性；喻体能够纵向铺张，具有延展性；喻体与本体关系暧昧，具有含蓄性。比喻主体只有充分认识和把握喻体的诸多特性，才能很好地运用比喻修辞格，增强比喻的认知和审美功能。如果说比喻是文学的生命，那么喻体便是比喻之源，文学之光。

The metaphorical objects are of intuitive feeling ,so it has figurativeness ;can be widely selected ,so it has diver-sity ;can be longitudinal stretched out ,so it has ductility ;and it has a casual relationship with the noumenon ,so it has an implicit nature . Therefore , metaphor subjects only fully understand and grasp the features of metaphors ,can well use the figures of speech ,increase the cognitive and aesthetic functions of metaphor .If metaphor is the life of the literature ,metaphorical objects are the source of metaphor ,and the light of the litera-ture .
