浅谈德国统一与德国现代化

统一和现代化并不是同质的 ,两者之间不存在必然的因果关系。然而在德国近代这一特定的历史条件下 ,统一与现代化有着极为密切的特殊联系。德国的现代化需要民族的统一 ,而现代化的进一步开展又有力地推动了国家的统一。统一一方面成为现代化的动因 ,另一方面又为现代化开辟了广阔的国内市场、提供了强大的支持与保护。德国的统一与德国的现代化之间的密切关系促进了双方的共同发展 ,同时也结出了影响 2 0世纪上半叶德国乃至世界历史的恶果。

Germany: Unification & Modernization

Unification and modernization are qualitatively differ ent without inevitable causality. However,on the given historical condition as modern Germany, unification and modernizati on established an extraordinary close and special relationship. The modernizatio n of Germany needed the national unification, and that the further development o f the modernization greatly promoted the national unification. The unification, on the one hand, became the motivation of the modernization. On the other hand, it opened up a huge home market and provided powerful support and protection for the modernization as well. The close relationship and interactions between the modernization of Germany and the unification promoted the development of the bot h sides, but meanwhile it resulted in the evil consequences exerting long and pr ofound influence on the early half of the 20th century's Germany and even the wo rld as a whole.
