吴投文是近年来湘籍诗人中一位颇有实力的写作者和诗歌研究者。他的诗歌创作始于1980年代末，早期诗作着力在乡土风情中抒发青春的思悟，留下中国文化的投影。2003年是他的诗歌创作转折期，对人事与人生的书写，使他的诗歌表现出反讽与戏拟形态，他揭示存在的荒谬，同时又表达孤寂空虚的人生感受。

Poetry on Human Affairs and Poetry on Life --On Poet Creation from Wu Touwen

Wu Touwen is a fairly competent poet and researcher of poetry among the Hunan-born poets. He began to write poetry at the end of 1980. His early poems feature focused upon youth reflection in country setting and carried images of Chinese culture. The year of 2003 marked a turning point in his poetry writing career. Concentrating on human affairs and human life, his poems put up the form of irony and parody. They revealed the absurdity of existence and expressed the feeling of loneliness and emptiness in life.
