| Abstract: | Throughout the creation and development of Chinese and western philosophy,the relationship between "Name" and "Actuality" is an important problem.With the comparative method,the present paper analyzes the differences and similarities of viewpoints of "Name" and "Actuality" in both Chinese and western cultures,and illustrates that different cultural backgrounds,language features and thought patterns are the main causes for the differences of the viewpoints,so as to indicate the unique features of Chinese and western cultures and the universality of linguistic philosophy. |
