心理动词也析

回顾了汉语心理动词的研究历史与现状,认为有必要对心理动词进行重新分类。根据心理动词的语义特性,心理动词被分为情感、情绪、感知、认知、意动、使役等6小类。在对各小类动词进行语义分类和句法分析的过程中,发现各小类之间共有连续统(continuum)关系,它们的句法表现并不是泾渭分明,如某些拥有多种语义的心理动词,其句法表现可以兼跨两个小类。最后,文章就中英文中使役心理动词的不同表达法进行了简要对比。

An Analysis of Chinese Psych Verbs

With a survey of the previous studies, this article classifies Chinese psych verbs into six types: emotional, perceptive, cognitive, initiative and causative . These types differ from each other in terms of semantic features and obligatory arguments. A careful analysis of their semantic valences and syntactic features proves that these categories deny clear boundary and share a continuum instead. For instance, some polysemantic predicates cover two categories and their boundaries of syntactic behaviors are far from explicit. In the end this article makes a comparison between Chinese causative psych verbs and their English counterparts.
