On Comparison between Heroes in Shui Hu Quan Zhuan and Robin Hood and His Merry Men

The noticeable similarity between Shui Hu Quan Zhuan and Robin Hood and His Merry Men is that their main characters are heroes. Though living in the different times and countries, the heroes in the two novels share a number of similarities. The heroes, however, have a couple of differences because of their different cultural and social backgrounds. From the perspectives of the Chinese and English social and cultural backgrounds, the paper makes a detailed analyses on the similarities and differences between the heroes in the two novels.
