关联理论与语用研究

近年来给西方语用学界带来较大影响的关联理论被称为认知语用学理论,它强调信息的接受者,主张从认知角度解释心理认知因素对话语理解的作用。本文介绍关联理论的基本框架与推导模式以及专著第二版对该理论的几点修正,指出关联理论对语用学的贡献及其不足之处。

Relevance Theory and Pragmatic Study

Relevance Theory, the theory of utterance interrelation. proposed by Dan Sperber & Deirdre Wilson with an attempt to replace the Gricean Cooperative Principle and its maxims by a general principle of relevance has laid a cognitive theoretical framework for a new approach to pragmatics. It sees pragmatic interpretation as a psychological matter governed by a single cognitive principle. The present paper first gives a survey of Relevance Theory and its inferential model, it also introduces several significant changes in the second edition; then the implications of Relevance Theory and its contributions to pragmatics have been analyzed, and finally its imperfections are tentatively examined.
