On Fuzzy Information in English Business Correspondence and Its Translating Methods

Fuzzy linguistics is a borderline subject and has a close connection with translation studies. The organic combination of them will promote the development of translation theory and practice. This paper starts from the stylistic and linguistic features of English business Correspondence and discusses that ambiguity is one of the most important stylistic features of English business correspondence. According to the relevant features of fuzzy language, the author suggests the general ways of understanding fuzzy information in English business correspondence and explores the corresponding translating methods.
