英汉化妆品说明书责任型情态的人际意义对比研究

摘    要:以中英文较常见且知名品牌的化妆品说明书为语料,运用韩礼德的系统功能语法理论框架对责任型情态在该类语篇中的应用进行分析.发现在英文化妆品说明书中责任型情态体现明显,而中文化妆品语料中责任型情态表达形式更多为夸张等.研究表明,针对不同历史文化背景下的消费者而设计的说明书,其商家与消费者分担责任的程度不同.

Abstract:By using Halliday' s theory of systemic functional grammar and famous brand of cosmetics expositions both in English and Chinese as the research data, the paper analyzes the application of deontic modality in this kind of discourse, and finds that deontic modality is realized distinctly in English cosmetics expositions, while the realization of deontic modality in Chinese is expressed in terms of exaggeration. Moreover, the research indi- cates that the manufacturer and the consumer share varying responsibilities cosmetics expositions designed in dif- ferent cultural history backgrounds.
