Cultural adaptation to ecological environment is the focus of ecological anthropology and a precious cultural resource in the sustainable development today.With their life and production taken as the key elements,there are about four main types of cultural adaptation to the varied ecological environments adopted by Yunnan minority nationalities.The author gives each type a detailed analysis of the interaction and adjustment between nature and culture,which will help implement the scientific concept of development and provides the basis for the classification of the minority areas in the process of sustainable development.
