工科院校英语专业课程设置与应用型人才培养——以长沙理工大学为例

摘    要:随着全球经济一体化和社会信息化格局的形成,我国工科院校英语本科专业多年所形成的单科教学模式已难以适应社会对英语专业人才的需求。培养应用型英语专业本科人才,构建工科院校专业英语应用型人才培养模式,已是大势所趋,势在必行。探讨我国目前工科院校英语专业所面临的危机和挑战,并结合长沙理工大学英语专业建设的实践,从课程设置的角度,就工科院校如何建立具有创新素质的英语应用型人才培养模式提出了建议。

Curriculum of English Major in Engineering Colleges and Universities and Cultivation of Applied Talents Taking Changsha University of Science and Technology as an Example

Abstract:With global economic integration and the pattern of social information, it has been difficult to adapt to social demand for English majors in engineering colleges and universities which formed an independent teaching mode. Cultivating applied English talents and constructing a talent - cultivation mode are imperative for engineering colleges and universities. The crises and challenges facing current English major in engineering colleges and universities are discussed. Combining the practice of the construction of English major in Changsha University of Science and Technology, several suggestions are given from a perspective of curriculum.
