| Abstract: | The professional training of English existed in the College of Languages of Peking,which focused on the trainings of English language,supplemented by foreign literature courses in English education.This mode of training led the way of studying foreign literature through language learning in order to reform old literature and create new one during the period of the Republic of China,which is a key link in the establishment course of English departments in modern Chinese universities. |
