On the Original Worship of Dragon from The Research of Fu-xi to 1980s

Various theories about the prototype of the dragon(including the original ideas concerning the dragon) are reviewed in light of many important articles of different periods and the discoveries of archeology.It begins from the book The Research of Fu-xi wrttien by Wen Yiduo in the early years of 1940s to the research of the original worship of dragon in 1980s.Meanwhile,the paper clearifies the evolving of scholarly thoughts,the transformation of reseach methods and scope,the key achievements,the introspection and influence with regard to those theories in successive phases and illustrates them at the angle of learning history as well.This the paper puts forward the existing problems of the thesis and the future probable trend.
