Analysis of feasible business strategies for small and medium logistic enterprises in northern remote areas

Faced with the decreases of logistics needs and financial difficulties under the influence of the international financial crisis, and the increased costs caused by rising fuel prices and labor costs and other external factors, in view of the problems with small and medium logistic enterprises in northern remote areas, such as simple function, obsolete equipments, lower technology, over-staffing, poor credit, market disorder and so on, this paper presents methods to improve the small and medium business, including corporate restructuring and business process reengineering; strengthening the logistics information system, enhancing logistic operation efficiency; improving the quality of enterprise technology, making good use of the supporting role of science and technology in logistics; improving customer management, enhancing market competitive ability; implementing the integrated management of logistics systems and total quality management, carrying out cost control in the entire process of logistics.
