关联理论对语言交际的解释力

本文从广度和深度两个方面探讨关联理论对语言交际的解释力。关联理论为解释交际活动开辟了一条新的途径，但是关联理论主要说明话语的理解过程，忽略话语的生成过程，未能覆盖整个交际过程；而且，关联理论过分强调关联，不太重视语言的经济原则，对关联性的界定不够科学。

The Explanatory Power of Relevance Theory for Communication

The paper addresses the depth and breadth of the explanatory power of Relevance Theory(RT) for communi- cation. RT provides a new approach to the explanation of human communication. But RT, which focuses on utterance understanding rather than utterance production, fails to account for communication process as a whole; RT emphasizes relevance, paying inadequate attention to Principle of Economy, and its definition of relevance is scientifically inappro- priate.
