| Abstract: | General education and professional education have always been the main topic of research in Western universities. This paper starts from the liberal knowledge and useful knowledge advocated by Aristotle of ancient Greece, chronologically studies the historic development of general education and professional education, analyzes the significance of the combination of general education with professional education in the special condition of China, and offers some concrete measures for China's present reformation of the academic courses of higher education. |
