深入研究党的性质和先进性的几个问题

坚持党的工人阶级先锋队性质,保持党的先进性是加强和改进党的建设的一个基本问题。建党80年来,在不同历史时期党的先进性的具体内容和要求是不同的。在新的形势下,工人阶级队伍构成虽然已发生了变化,但工人阶级作为党执政基础的地位和党的先进性并没有改变。看待党的先进性和工人阶级先锋队性质,应坚持辩证唯物主义和历史唯物主义观点,不能唯成分论,要防止把贫富作为衡量政治上是否先进的标准。尤其要按照江泽民同志“三个代表”的重要思想实践党的先进性。

Some problems of researching the Party's nature and its advanced nature

It is a basic question of strengthen ing and imprving Party building to up hold the Party's nature of being the vanguard of the wo rking class and remain advanced.Ever since the founding of the Party the concrete contents and r equirements of the Party's advanced nature have varied in each historical stage.Given the new situ ation,the composition of the workin g class battalions has changed,but the working class as the Party's status of ruling base and its advanced nature have not changed.Dealing with the Party's nature of being the vanguard of the work ing class and its advanced nature,we should adhere to the viewpoint of dialectical materialism and historical materialism instead of the theory of the unique importance of class origin and avoid regarding the rich or the poor as the criterion of advanced nature.Espec ially,we should practise the Party' s advanced nature in accor-dance with comrade Jiang Zemin's theory of"three represents".
