| Abstract: | Based on the analysis of the viewpoints of Kang Youwei and Chen Huanzhang, both are the key figures in the debating of whether Confucianism is a religion or not, and comparing their viewpoints with Matteo Ricci's opinion, this article tries to highlight the development and cultural meaning of this debating. |
