试论清代两湖地区书院的刻书业及其兴盛原因

历代书院刻印的图书,在版本学上称为"书院本"。其版本价值较高,历来倍受文士学者重视。清代两湖地区的书院兴盛且日益官学化,书院刻书业比较发达,留下大量作品。究其原因,主要包括社会、政治、经济、文化和学术五个方面。

An Analysis on the Characteristics and the Reasons for the Prosperity of Hunan and Hubei Academy of Classical Learning During the Qing Dynasty

Under the influence of encouraging college-carving by both the central and Hubei,Hunan local governments,surged academy of classical learning in the Qing dynasty.The officials and scholars who were proud of book carving could be found everywhere.The prosperity of private book carving in Hubei and Hunan areas could be attributed to the economic development and prosperity of these areas,the policy of vitalizing culture and education made by the ruler of Qing dynasty,the advocacy by the officials,the gentry,and scholars,the Academic prosperity,the best academic genius produced generation after generation,the good book-keeping tradition as well as the prosperity of the public and family education in these two areas.
