市民社会观念的当代演变及其意义

近代的市民社会观念,主要是指因商品交换关系而将人们联结起来的私人自律的经渗交往领域。20世纪,市民社会的观念发生了重大转变,主要是指自主的社会文化领域,即自治的民间社团及其活动所构成的公共领域。这两种市民社会观念都将克服市场社会中私人利益与公共利益之间的矛盾作为其理论的核心问题。不同的是,近代市民社会观念力求通过对市民社会的超越克服市场社会的内在矛盾,而当代市民社会观念则致力于在市民社会中寻求克服市场社会内在矛盾的根据和力量。市民社会观念的这一变化是对市民社会发展历史的反映,必须考察这整个演变过程,综括其丰富的内涵,才能达到对现实市民社会及其发展的全面把握。

Notion of Borough Society: Contemporary Evolvement and Implication

Modern notion of borough society was mainly evolved from the economic interrelationship based on commodity exchange among autonomic individuals. In the 20 th century, a great change occurred within notion of borough society, especially in autonomous social culture of public community based on autonomous civil corporations and their activities. Both these notions of borough society have faced a key theoretical challenge of how to solve the contradiction between individual interest and public interest within a commodity society. But, the deference between the two notions is that the former tried to solve the internal contradiction of commodity by overstepping the borough society and the later has attempted to find the base and force within the borough society. It is the development of borough society that caused the evolvement of notion of borough society, which needs to be investigated in perspective and sum up its rich intension in order to have a better understanding of the existing borough society.
