Abstract: | Student individual differences pose a great challenge to language teachers and potentially influcnce the way in which a foreign language is learned. This paper attempts to discuss and evaluate some advan tages and disadvantages of the various aspects of personality, motivation and cognitive style in classroom teaching. The paper argues that the efficiency of language teaching and the proficiency of language learning in middle schlools can be fairly enhanced, so long as language teachers effectively utilize the favorable facets of student differences in teaching process. |
