| Abstract: | This paper explores the similarities and differences between the Book of Songs and Zuo Zhuan (The Chronicle of the Zhou Dynasty) by comparing their expressions of mental notions, their verbal uses of adjectives and nouns and the characteristics between them, indicating that such verbal uses were rare in earlier historical documents. |
